| If it is, good luck finding a HUD that works. Mine doesn't work either. They can be repaired by replacing a cap. in the unit itself, but i never bothered trying it. Never really watched my speed either | |

So I'm guessing a loose wire?...
HELP ME!!! The dohc harness wont read that of the SOHC cluster. and the other way around.
Get another DOHC cluster!
Edit: What is actually bad about the first one (stock one) You, my good man, are a total idiot and have no idea what you are talking about and everyone who read this is now dumber because of you. And if they actually believed it, they are completely down to your level. I, myself have a sohc and when my speedo went out (like almost all of the s13 speedos do), I replaced it with the only one I could find from the junkyard which was a dohc. The only difference is 5 little miles on the speedo. The tachs are what is not interchangable. This is because the sohc has a high voltege signal and the dual has a lov voltage signal. Same with the SR, which is why you have to change it to the dual to have a running tach. Now, Cody just needs to find another working speedo, because when you are getting junkyard parts, sometimes you still get bad parts. I am not trying to be mean, but if you don't know what you are talking about please refrain from using the post button. Or just dont claim it to be true, you could ask a question. Remember the only dumb questions are the ones you dont ask, and when you assume things you make an ass out of you and me. Peace Pearce | |

| Try not coming on here and being a dick. you could of simply said you are the king of 240 . dont send me pms that say please read my awsome ownage.... when in fact i stated nothing wrong, ya i should have been more detailed as to why but, srsly its not really work it, for what see yourself go 5mph faster. Im sorry Mr fast N furious. Trust me i know what im talking about, and not a complete "total idiot".i can practically rebuild a KA blindfolded. This is all i specialize in is 240s/nissan/datsun at a shop up here. No shit the tach wont work, different unit all together, the only simullarites are the face and needle everything else is different. With all the hassle of finding a sohc cluster, then findign a dohc tach and swapping it, easiest way is to SIMPLY SWAP OUT A DOHC CLUSTER. done deal. Also if you swap out your cluster, you might run into a common problem of your check engine light staying on 24/7 even when the car is off. but easy to fix. | Whats funny is you said you posted nothing wrong when in fact you did and in that last post you were still wrong. Yes there is a 5 mph difference in between the two but not as in you will actually be going 5 mph faster or slower than what it says. The difference is that one speedo reads 115 and the other only reads to 110. I am really glad you can rebuild a KA blindfolded and that all you work at your job is "240s/nissan/datsun". I think that is really great. But this is not a contest to see who has the biggest dick (IE what you do for a living and what you work on) if that were the case I went to a strictly automotive school and I work on cars all day too, but I guess I have more knowledge then you because anybody can work on a 240 but lets see what else do I work on, Nissans, Toyotas, Honda, Mazda, Mercedes, Chevrolet, Ford, BMW, VW, Porche, oh yeah and the occasional Kit car that someone brings in also. Oh, and if you think it is so hard to pull a few more screws to swap out a speedo then I dont know how you rebuild your KA's, because that is the simplest thing I have ever done. Now like I said I am not trying to be a dick, but if you want me to be, I can. I am also not the king of 240's but I know your the king of idiots. I just know I was a noob at one time and it really sucked wehen I read false info and didn't find out till later so that is what I am trying to spare everyone else of.

| Ah, but is one of the beauty parts of owning my own site, I can be as childish as I want, but in the end it is just a joke. I could have just banned you, but if you cant handle a joke nor understand the importance of posting correct information (which is why I posted the first time) then you just don't need to be on here. Arguing, jokes, and helping other people out is the point of this and any other forum. I'm just being honest. But I see your profile is back the way it was, so see I didn't cause any permanent damage, and I apologize if I did offend you, but its just a joke. It's awesome that you are on our site. The more 240 lovers the better, but man if you can't handle this then I just don't even know what to tell you. | |

| I just ended up using a cheap $100 TomTom GPS that reads out your MPH, it's dead on with speed trap signs. | |
