| so instead of writing and re posting pics, I'm just going to copy and paste all my posts in one from my other build threads... this thread is most likely where i'll be while on this forum, at least till i get to know a few of you... i know a couple of ya tho... well guys, it's finally arrived!!!! i picked it up yesterday, and i've already cracking on the werkz... I'm sure if you've been following the build thread of my gold car, you've heard about this one. the aftermarket parts from the gold car will be stripped, and put on the new chassis, and the gold car, reverted to stock and sold. Either way some of you are anticipating the photos of the new car.. well without further adieu... the pics Auto for now... lucky enough, my SR is a 5 speed muahahahaha well now that we've established that i've got a PERFECT base to start a nice clean project, unlike the the POS gold car... it's time to do work.... 2 day of ownership, and it's time to get rid of that 4X4 ride.... gold car getting stripped... sorry girl... new S14's brembos, and STOCK everything else, just the way i wanted it... time to get low... switches and *****es.... stock ride on the right, coils on the left, good lean though.... and the new car is nice and low... clean... lean... and KA auto FAIL!!!!! ye-yeh-YEAH-AHHHH!!! who wants to go mudding?!?!?!?! Clawhammer says "i tell you whu-wat, that thur needz sum of dem er boggers mang" couple nice shots of differences.. gold car with OEM springs... new S14 with coils.... done for the day.... night girl!!! not bad for D-Day +1.... ___________________________________________________________________________________________ well, me being the pic whore that i am.... i took a few more shots.... the quintessential engine bay shot.... pretty damn clean, even for a 1996.... KA FAIL... even worse is the auto transmission.... SEE THE FURY OF POWA BRAKE KA BURNOUTS!!!!!!! my dog George, my ridin' buddy repping the scene... two shots to show i clean the body is... fat ass.... got my Silvia trunk on there, OEM spoilers FAIL reflectionz.... me George, and the old S14, i can brush my teeth in this paint... that's pretty much it... more to come when i swap the diffs, and open the one to see what's inside... _____________________________________________________________________________________________ well got bored... so i decided i would tinker just a bit... since i can't pull my motor yet, and did about the only non mechanical thing i could think of... i went and painted my pearl white Silvia grille black... (as many of you know, i post pics like crazy, from the big stuff to the little stuff, not BS like oil changes tho lol) so on with the pics.. the beginning... stripped, and ready for sanding... primed, and first coat of black... 3 coats of clear... re double sided taping the chrome tabs.... ready for reassembly... DONE!!! final photos of install.... that missing fog light tab on the passenger side bothers me to no end... not a bad grille for $18 shipped...... and i forgot about some parts i got, will install these when i swap motors.. GReddy GREX oil filter relocation kit (going to mount on lower bay frame rail, and a large size NRG Oil Catch Can, to replace my small Circuit Sports can.. both a little dirty, but i'll clean em prior to install.... up next, i think i'll go ahead and pull the VLSD/LSD out of the gold car, crack it open, and see exactly what diff it is (act's like a 1.5 way, but was told it was a VLSD, no orange sticker, minor clunking at low speed turns), so bout to find out about that... i'll see if i can get to it before it rains.... __________________________________________________________________________________________________ so guys, just a small update for now... more stuff to add to the parts list.. i just ordered the adapter plate for my AC from Codyace on Nico for $105 shipped with hardware and a belt!!!... so i'll now be running a KADE AC system, on my black top SR.... SR swap with AC FTW!!!! and as far as power parts... i just ordered these.... DW 660cc Injectors... maybe 400-500 miles on em.... and a FReddy Intake Mani.... (which i think i'm going to work over, honing, paint etc) ignore the FMIC as it's not mine injectors and Mani shipped for only $250 (toogoodforu on TR, thanks bro!!)... and just that much closer to my 400whp goal, as i already have my Z32 MAF, Nistune (still needs installed SHIP THAT ECU Z28RICER!!!)... last thing i should need is to upgrade my turbo... top mount GT30 on the way??!?!?!?!?! once these parts come in the mail, in the next few days, i'll be ready to go ahead and pull the SR out of the gold car, and begin the swap into the new black zenki.... all i have to situate is my heater hoses, cruise control (i think i'll use the KA bracket, modify it to work on the manifold, should be easy), and then i'll have my COMPLETE SR swap.... AC, PS, Heat, and cruise control... getting so close i can taste it!!! ____________________________________________________________________________________________ so i didn't like the way i had my GReddy Full Auto timer on top of the steering column, how the GReddy Profec B Spec II was in the single din, and the AEM UEGO Wideband gauge was just kinda chillin in the place where the ash tray is supposed to go... it was all over the place and just kinda ghetto... so a few weeks ago i had an idea on how to consolidate everything in the single din below the CD player... at that time i'd checked it out to see if the TT and EBC would stack and fit, but the Din tray is concaved inwards, so it wouldn't work.... but now that i've got some time, and a new S14 for all this crap to go into, i figured what better time to cut and tinker? either way, like usual, pics and captions..... my stacked FATT and EBC with Wide band.. here's what i'm working with... beginning to cut and trim the tray to make it all fit... i had to notch out for the EBC/FATT as well as the Wide band, and the wires/lines coming out the back of them... just a test fit... more trimming needed... the back side, look at the clearance for the Wideband harness.. any closer and i'd have to figure something else out, luckily it works!!!! mind the hack job on the back, who cares, no one will see it lol final install shots, still need to double sided tape everything in, but here's the jist of it all... it really irks me about how the screens on the FATT and the EBC don't line up, and how the bezel for the wide band in like 3/4" tall... maybe i'll bring the FATT/EBC out to kinda match the wide band... i'll figure it out... it's a pre install anyways... oh, and a new shelf for all my car ****, doors close and lock... looks weird there, but when i get my shop built at the new house it'll fit right in.... other than than, just waiting on some parts to come rolling in the mail, ECU to put my Nistune in, DW 660cc's, FReddy Mani, and the AC adapter bracket and belt... then, it's big big swap time.... ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ | |

| from this.... 150hp of automatic FAIL to this est. 280whp of boosted WIN!!! swapping shortly!!! _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ well... i am a pic whore so i just finished with a full detail, a wash with Turtle Wax ICE wash, and McGuires Gold Class paste wax... just a few shots... nothing big.... sorry, i was just kinda bored... __________________________________________________________________________________________________ no not exhaust, i already have that covered Megan turbo elbow, APEXI downpipe, JDM (not US version) APEXi N1... and that's not every epic to me... here's the update..... SEKZ!!!!! my new SWEET SHWINN BEACH CRUISER!!!!! 7 SPEEDS OF FURY!!!! i'm joking, for real!!!! here's the "EPIC" update!!! so let's start from the top!! yeah i work in the rain.... got the rear on, and OH NOES, the front needed 8mm spacers! my girl went into town and got a set for me YAY!!! BRAND NEW IN THE BOX!!!! just got back from the tire place... installed... PIC WHORE TIME!!! finished!! these are the Rota P45R's in gold of course specs on wheels- 18x9.5 +30 w/8mm spacers up front (yeah i know, i'm not a fitment whore anyways) specs on tires- Riken Raptors- been with me since my first black car.. made my Michelin, great tires!! 225/40/ZR18 AA traction summer tires i personally think it looks GREAT... the black on gold looks great to me... i wish i would go just about 1/2 lower all the way around. I'll prob also be getting 10mm spacers for the rear, just to bring them out a tad, and get my camber to OEM specs, that should pretty much elminate the "gap" between the tire and the lip... oh, and what makes them so EPIC? i got the set, brand new in the box, for just $600, yeah 6 hundo... not bad if i don't say so myself... these Rotas are one of the top three designs of wheels that i like, and i've been drooling over them for the last year and a half, but not being able to fork over the $800-$1000 for a set... they're knock offs of the Nismo LMGT4's, which is my favorite design, so i get the best of both worlds... now everyone that says "get some decent wheels" can STFU lol, i kid, i kid... ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ So.... i got to see the wheels in sunlight for the first time today... and they're not as yellow as they look in the pics.... they're more of a brass/darker gold color, which pleases me to no end, as in the pics, it looks really bright gold... BUT, I'm still hitting my coilovers, but only when i turn left or right, i guess it's that slight bit of hard cornering wheel flex... either way, the 5/16 spacers are too thin, so on the way home, i grabbed some 7/16 spacers from Rollins Automotive (local Chevy/ford performance/hot rod/dyno shop)... so hopefully when the rain stops, i can get out there... i'll be putting the 7/16 spacers up front, and i guess i'll take the 5/16 spacers, and slip them on the rear, hopefully, that should eliminate any clearance issues i have up front, and i can be completely done with my foot work.... at least till i burn these tires up sor i can get some proper fitting tires.... __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ a few parts came in today, i pulled off the cat back to figure out what kind it is, and i pulled the diff to see if it was a true VLSD... so a few pics!! "where we're going, we don't need roads!" the cat back my 3.5" JDM (not USDM) APEXi N1 one piece, kinda dirty right now, but will be cleaned before install in the new car...... the diff is out... no orange sticker? NO PROLEM, VLSD!!! 660cc injectors, and FReddy intake manifold (now painted black with three coats of clear) that's all for now.... sorry, not much i know... but the weather has been ***** here in gainesville FL... __________________________________________________________________________________________ that's all to for now.... stay tuned for updates... oh, and for people who don't know me, i've only had this car for little over a week... | |

| well guys, some updates... i'll keep the story short... i ordered a few parts, should be here soon.. Kai Project 1 piece clutch master to slave line (tuckin it!!) new OEM SR20DET injector rings for the 660's and a couple other things i forgot... anyways, i got SOME work done today, i got my FReddy manifold painted, with like 4-5 coats of clear (rattle can job, but looks good).. and i pulled my GRID tuned ECU (for sale!!) and my SR harness out and began work on that... i'm working on a tuck, extended injector wires, and the like... but i fail like a noob and ran out of electrical tape.. either way, pics!!!! harness pulled... looks weird without the rats nest there.... filthy shitty engine bay.... got the harness out... i hope it goes in after i clean it up easier than it came out... god, i had to wrestle it out... i pull about a pound of electrical tape off this big black dildo looking thing... turned out it's the wiring for the RHD setup, just folded on it's self... (shown in the pic) okay, so first starting on the injector wires, extending them so i can run them under instead of over... stock... extended... (then ran out of tape...FAIL) so i pretty much got the "front" part of my harness cleaned up... it'll look good when i get it all taped up and loomed... now just to eliminate that extra 2ft of wire and clean up the "back" side of the harness, then it's ready!!!! here's my dog George, being the excellent helper that he is... oh yeah... and here's the FReddy manifold i painted today as well... looks OK... nothing special though... Nissan Super Black with 4-5 coats of clear.. Optimus Prime ownz joo!!1!!!one!!1! well, that's all for now i guess... more updates later when the clutch line comes in and the o-rings... and whatever else i ordered... | |

| remeber its going to be harder to remove the motor after you tuck it in. i had to take my manifold off. but yours runs great so you shouldnt have to worry to much about it. | |

| from hood pop to motor on the ground? lol well, i got my harness done today, and tried to finish a KADE valve cover for the guy, but the rain came and made the clear fog up on me... either way, pics of the harness... good little work station... shrink wrap and solder... final product, a hellova let better than before.... and here's some shots of the KADE Valve Cover i'm doing for chromedrifter, i can finish if it will ever stop raining... it's a green metallic pearl... will be adding 4-5 coats of clear and cut and buffing the letters to a mirror like polish well, that's pretty much it till this weekend when i do the swap!!! got some more parts to pull of the SR car to get it ready for a pull... pics to come of course... i'll also be painting my upper bay FMIC piping Nissan Super Black, just to kinda match.... the rest of the theme in the bay.... | |

| possible boost leak... or poor settings on your EBC.... try turning it off and see what it does... well i called it a night on the motor works, got burned out for the day, after cranking for 13 hours on it... no one really helped, my boy EZ came by for about an hour, helped me guide the KA out and hauled ass... so pretty much all was done by me today... here we go, pics and captions.... Good morning!!! the day begins!! stripping the KA down.... truck motors, SHEESH.. seriously, i didn't realize how much crap i pulled off of my 240's that wasn't needed, till i got this bone stock, untouched S14, there's a lot of unneeded crap...... pulling the KA, EZ letting it all hang out... it's out!!! need to find a dumpster... (******* EZ and his fingers) i think the auto trans was replaced recently, look how clean it is compared to the motor.. the pony's hungry NOM NOM NOM NOM!!!!!11!!one!!1 and now on to the SR pull.... (solo pull...) Lt. SR Dangle got my SR AC bracket fabbed and ready for mounting... KA compressor to SR AC bracket adapter plates on, ready for AC!!!!!!!! (thanks Codyace!) finally got my stainless mani on, it's been laying around for months... ...and my GReddy GREX oil filter relocation kit... to be mounted on lower frame rail for ease of filter removal while draining the oil, K&N filter FTW... money shot.... custom uber fast spoolin' Pulsar GTIR T28!! that's pretty much it for today.... tomorrow i install the clutch, and brake pedal in the new S14, as well as mount the FMIC and drill holes for the FMIC piping and the hole for the clutch master..... SR goes in... KA goes in... let's hope i'm not alone.... lol | |

| well guys, a small update... got my H&R extended studs on the front, with the 11mm spacers... now i can have my front wheels on with more that 3.5 threads of meat on the lug nuts!!! YAY!!! i also put my 8mm spacers on the rear, i had em laying around, figured I'd bring the back out a little bit, even though they cleared the coils... H&R extended lugs, with Gorilla Lug Nuts... hopefully i wont need these soon as i'm getting a pair of Z32 Megan front sleeves for my coils that will bring the shock tube in 2in, and then i can remove the spacers all together... and sit nice and flush... i hate how they stick out past the outer edge of the fender... wheel's on, lugs nice and tight!!! finished shot, sorry for the dirty cars and wheels, it's been raining for 2 weeks, almost non stop.. i need to put the 11mm on the back, and have no spacers on the front, then all wheels should sit pretty much flush to the outer edge of the fender.... but they sit fine enough for me right now.... at least until i get some wider proper fitting tires... but I'm working with what little i got... even with the +30 offsets, i can't complain for $600!!!!! shit still looks great!! and as a final answer to my bogging at 4.5k, i've fixed the problem, it was my bad alternator, which i've replaced and it fixed ALL my issues.... i guess a SR20 doesn't much like going into boost with only 11V.. lol... on my road test, as soon as it hit 3.5k @ 11lbs, the left rear tire broke loose and spun with FURY.... i need to get my VLSD in there ASAP, so i can at least have some traction... that will prob go in later today... 3 more issues i need to address... 1. for some reason my PS fluid EXPLODED all over the bay the other day, so looks like i'm going to have to find that leak/cavern, and replace it with a part from the gold car.. 2. Wiring up my AC, all there's, compressors mounted, all lines are intact, it's now just a matter or wiring in a relay for the comp to come on when i push the AC button... been working on it a few days with splicing wires in the F3 plug, as per a write up in fresh alloy.. 3. Cruise control.... i thought it would be a simple hook up and go affiar... WRONG... the current cable bracket, OR the SR throttle body pulley does not have the provision for CC.. so, i'll have to put the KA bracket, and TB on there to get that situated... FUN!!! other than that, just gotta put the VLSD in, and the swap is pretty much complete... until i get ready to put my 600cc's and Z23 MAF on, then it'll be over with, killing V8's like what? what? | |

| VLSD is in.... car's washed, and lightly detailed.... finally DONE!!!!!! FMIC lined up pretty good... better than in the gold car... UGH...gold zenki fail lol wow so many posts in one day... sorry guys, i should have consolidated it it all in one... but you know how it goes, do work, stop, do work, stop... it's like an hour on, hour off... i'm about tired of doing work... I'm glad I'm so close to 100% (those three things keeping me from it), i'll be glad when all's said and done.... hell i might even wait to do my 600cc's and Z MAF... lol | |

| well i got good news, and i got bad news.... we'll start with the good... another DD!!!!!!! a 1995 Chevy S10 ext cab... a little 4 banger 5spd truck for work, dogs, trash, and parts pick up/delivery!!! not too too bad for $2k... and for the bad news... took the S14 and it's SR out for it's first road day since the swap (only minor up and down road trips)... and didn't make it home.... drove into work just fine, lunch break boostin'... then on the way home... it's starts bucking, and bogging... OH NOES... home is 18 miles away, interstate... i have no idea what the prob is... but here's the symtoms if anyone can help me figure it out... power steering hose, one of em, exploded the other day... that was fun, anyways, it prob sprayed all over the filter... this is just some backround info that might be helpful... okay... driving down the road, it's like i'm hitting a fuel cut randomly... missing or something, idle is rough, and sometimes smooth, then give it gas, and it acts like it's missing.. car runs and drives, cranks up like normal, but has those symptoms... now, it's a bit more agressive than it sounds... as if my motor is dieing as i'm driving, but then comes back, dies, comes back stays smooth, then bucks/bogs... i removed the air filter, thinking it may be clogged with PS fluid, and the engine acted like it wanted to die... then idled back up to normal...put the filter on and it surged... during normal driving, the -hG should be around -10ish, give or take load... while cruising now, it sits at -21 and between -13 and -15 @ idle.... i'm leaning towards fauly MAF, but the ECU isn't throwing any trouble codes... i'm going to try and solve the problem with my 600CC injectors and Z32 MAF.. maybe that will help, i don't know.... it sucks having my baby parked in a wal mart parking lot over night... this will be the second night she'll be there... i may try to nurse her home, but i'm afraid of causing more damage... could a stuck/seized turbo cause a problem like this? sorry for the long post, but i try to be as detailed as possible for you guys.... | |
