| do you want to go over 118, well just the other day i looked at my ecu, when you look at the top look on the leftside of the wires... the 8th one down should be a yellow with green stripe, cut and run a toggle switch to that wire.. and when your ready and just about to go over 100mph flip the switch and watch your speed go past 110 and keep going,, when done and down under 100 turn it back on.. all it does is not letting your computer know how fast your really going.. | |

| Never heard of that before, but you could also swap in an Auto ECU, and your set. No governor. So yeah, either way works. | |

| or you could just unplug the 5th gear sensor on the tranny, no cutting required. | |

| The speed sensor on the rear of the tranny does that. The 5th gear sensor tells the ecu that you are in 5th and when it see's a signal from this sensor, it limits your speed. I've done this on 3 240's, trust me, it works.
Also, the auto ecu works as well and has a higher rev limit ....7200 rpm.

You don't unplug the speed sensor, you unplug the 5th gear ( O.D.) sensor, the second plug back from the front of the tranny. The first one is the reverse sensor that turns on your reverse lights. The third sensor is the speed sensor and is the one closest to the driveshaft. If you unplug the right one, you will still know how fast you are going AND have no speed limiter. Maybe this will help.

| if you just get a rom tune that works to. idk but it sounds to me they put those sensors on there for a reason and it sounds bad to me to remove them. but iv seen a guy add a toggle switch and that worked prety well. | |
